July 2019 Aikido Update

July 12, 2019 by Editor

July 2019 Aikido Update

Here is the July 2019 Aikido Update for the Ki Federation of Great Britain.

Our congratulations go to the following members who passed their Dan Grading on the July Seminar...

  • 1st Dan: E. MacDougal, E. Baber, A. Padron and J. Best.
  • 2nd Dan: H. Kent.
  • 3rd Dan: D. Smith.

Congratulations also to those members who passed their Kyu Grading on the Seminar.

We are very appreciative of the same few members who keep coming to help make uke on the gradings. We will require ukes for the Dan Grading in the middle of the Summer Seminar.

The Wednesday and Friday classes at Headquarters are closed for the week before and two weeks after the Summer Seminar (24th, 26 July, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd August). Normal classes restart on the 28th August.

We are holding another Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning in Headquarters on the 21st September.

We very much look forward to seeing our international friends who will be attending the Summer Seminar this year.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our insurance company requirements have changed slightly with regards to doctors letters. Doctors letters, stating the student is fit to practise, are only required if...

  • The student has a pre existing physical medical condition.
  • The student is disabled.

We no longer need a doctors letter when an existing member reaches Senior Citizen status.

Also please note the age is now 65 for both men and women to be termed as Senior Citizens.

New versions of the Teacher's Pack and the Ki Federation Rules are are available in the teacher's area of this website, under documents.
