Sensei Ian Walters
Sensei Walters began studying Ki Aikido in 1981, at the Brentford (London) club under Neil O’Dwyer. He has only ever practiced within the Ki Federation of Great Britain, headed by Sensei K. Williams. Some time after being graded 1st Dan, Sensei Walters asked Sensei Williams if he could be his assistant. He then left London for Somerset to be with Sensei. Accompanying Sensei Williams on numerous courses and having personal instruction from him, Sensei Walters experienced the most intense and fulfilling period of his life. He was Sensei William’s assistant for about 10 years. He then moved to Northampton for work, where he started the Northampton Ki Aikido Club.
Now graded 8th Dan, Sensei Walters is a member of the Executive Committee of the Ki Federation. He has taught numerous courses around the UK and has also conducted courses for the Ki Federation’s international friends. He has been privileged to teach courses in Australia, Canada, Russia, France, Holland and Romania.
