Welcome to the Ki Federation

Developing a strong, calm mind and a relaxed, responsive body

What is Ki Aikido?

Ki Aikido is an art that neutralises pressure by undermining the partner's balance with minimal effort until they fail.

    What we do

The leadership of the Ki Federation of Great Britain has been promoting and supporting Aikido development since the 1950s. We recognise the value of Aikido in our daily lives, and believe that it will benefit others too. Across the federation, we have a network of clubs and teachers who are committed to helping others to learn this art.

    Why study with us

Aikido is an art which can be practised by anyone, regardless of size, age or strength, by using dynamic blending movements.

Join friendly classes taught across Great Britain, Canada, France and the Netherlands. We are the one of the largest and oldest Aikido organisations in the UK. We run lessons for all levels.

The real purpose of the martial arts must be to purge oneself of petty ambitions and desire, to obtain control of one’s own character.

    How to start

When you visit a Ki Federation club, you will find a community of people who love Aikido and want to help you learn and grow.

In the first place, find a club near you, contact the teacher, and go along to see what goes on in a class. If you decide to join the club, the teacher will help you set up your membership.
