Here is the July 2021 Aikido Update for the Ki Federation.
Two weeks ago, the Federation executive committee held a meeting at HQ. We discussed various subjects. But we primarily focussed on how we can all return to full Aikido practice.
We feel that is likely that the government will require some protocols to be observed to minimise further covid infections. The committee is currently investigating these scenarios. We want to minimise the potential burden on our clubs. We will of course let everyone know once we have more information. Even the proposed government date for return to normalcy is currently under doubt.
Aside from this, the Ki Federation now has an Instagram page. So this will provide more opportunities to reach out to new people.
On a similar note, we would appreciate contributions to the website and social media. The members of the Ki Federation, and its international associated organisations, are like a a big family. We are all travelling on the same path. When we get together, we often like to talk about the wonderful things people have done, sacrificed or achieved. This is never just restricted to Aikido student’s stories.
So, if you think you have an interesting or inspiring story to tell, please think about sharing with the rest of us. Maybe the trials of lock down have something to say. As a bonus, the more activity (articles) we have on the website and social media, the greater our exposure on the Internet
So, if you feel you can contribute, please contact me via info@kifederationofgreatbritain.co.uk or via the Northampton Ki Aikido Club. Accompianing photos are a big plus.
Best wishes to everyone and I eagerly look forward to practicing with you all again.
