March 2018 Aikido Update

8th Mar 2018

Here is the March 2018 aikido update for the Ki Federation.

March 2018 Aikido UpdateWe hope everyone is well and had no problem with the recent extreme weather. Unfortunately, due to the travel conditions, we had to postpone the 5th & 6th Dan group course and the Advanced Sword course last weekend. The new dates will be 30th June for the 5th & 6th Dan group, and 1st July for the Advanced Sword course.

On the 3rd Dan Group Course, Sensei Margaret awarded the following members their 4th Dan…

B. Docherty, M. Eshghi, P. Neale, K. Neale, J.Pickard, J.Thomson-Hill, G.Turner, N. Seehra from Canada and V. De Bruin from Holland.

On the subsequent 4th Dan Group Course, Sensei Margaret awarded the following members their 5th Dan…

S. Andrews and A. Wood.

We send our congratulations and best wishes to all these members. Notifications were sent to those members who were graded but were unable to attend these group courses. They will receive their certificates when they are next on a group course or Dan Grading. If you are one of these members, please notify Sensei Margaret of when you are coming to Headquarters.

Everyone was pleased to see our international members on these 3rd and 4th Dan group courses. These were Narinder, Emily and Dimitri from Canada, and Vincent from Holland. We hope they had a good journey home.

March 2018 Aikido Update
Advanced Sword Course, October 2017

There are spaces available on the Basic Sword course on the 19th May. We also have spaces on the Advanced Sword course on the 17th November.

Teachers can view or download the latest Teacher’s Pack from the Teachers Area of this Website. Similarly, teachers can view or download the revised fees for area courses. These are much more advantageous to the club hosting the course than they were before.

Would Teachers please remember to inform the office if they change their land/mobile phone number or email address? This is because a number of emails have recently bounced back to the office.

If any members have photographs of past headquarters dojos, would they kindly send copies in to this website – info@kifederationofgreatbritain.co.uk. This would include photos of: The Hut, South Wales Dojos, Princess Hall, Mark Village Hall, or Sensei’s two Isleport Dojos.

We congratulate Matt & Ashley Fellows from the Plymouth club on the birth of their little boy Remy.

We hope everyone enjoys their Easter break and that the sun shines for them.
