Sensei Gurinder Singh, teacher at the Epsom Ki Aikido club, has recently taken on the role of grading officer for Kyu gradings. He brings a kindness to the gradings that ensures the grading applicants are able to drop their nerves and perform at their best.
When did you start Ki Aikido?
I started Ki Aikido in 1992.
What made you want to try Ki Aikido?
I was 25 and with my friends, who wanted to get fit.

What do you enjoy most about practice?
I enjoy most the mindfulness and the pleasure of making Ukemi.
How do you benefit from Ki Aikido off the mat?
I benefit in every way. Especially as you have a life without mental and physical tension. The most important thing for me in doing Ki Aikido is the positive relaxation it gives me.
Any other comments?
I have been teaching for 25 years and I enjoy being part of a fantastic community within the Ki Federation, and making friends for life.
