Here is the March 2024 Aikido Update for the Ki Federation of Great Britain.
Now we have our lighter mornings and evenings, with the daffodils showing their heads. A good sign that spring is on its way.
Sensei Williams popped in to the Headquarters during the recent 5th Dan group course and thoroughly enjoyed his chats with the students. We send our best wishes to the members who were unable to attend the recent high grade classes due to illness or work commitments. Thank you also go to Peter Bailie for all his help on the courses.
Our congratulations go to the following Dan Grades who were upgraded on their Group courses:
- To 4th Dan: J. Hodge, C. Rudge, T. James. and M. Brandt.
- To 5th Dan: S. Keogh, J. McNaughton, A. Kerai, B. Docherty and M. Vu.
A number of Dan Grades have now moved up to a higher grade. Consequently the 3rd and 4th Dan group courses will now be combined into one, on the 16th November. The separate 4th Dan Group Course, on the 17th November, is removed from the calendar.
The same applies to the Basic Sword Course as many members have now moved up to the Advance Course. There will be no Basic sword course on the 23rd March.
We hope all the members will enjoy their course in Paris on the 16th & 17th March.
Two further courses have been booked – both with Kyu Gradings:
- Muswell Hill on 6th April.
- Edinburgh on 8th June.
