October 2024 Aikido Update

21st Oct 2024

Here is the October 2024 Aikido update for the Ki Federation of Great Britain.

October 2024 Aikido Update
6th, 7th, 8th Dan Group Course, September 2024

Sensei Williams taught another class on the 6th 7th & 8th Dan Group course – thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Once again it was exciting and invigorating to see all our Higher Grades together.

Fee Changes

During the Federation Committee meeting we decided to increase the Membership Fees for Adults, as of January 2025. These fees, along with the Summer Seminar fees, have remained unchanged for many years.

  • Adult membership fees will be £40.
  • Joint membership (two partners) will be £64.
  • Summer Seminar fees will be changed to £25 per session.
  • All other fees remain the same as before.

2024 Autumn Seminar

Please note the updated times for the Autumn Seminar:

  • Saturday, 26th October: Dan Gradings at 10am. Open Course 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
  • Sunday, 27th October: Open Course 10.30am to 12.30pm. Kyu Grading at 12.45pm.

We require Dan Grades to make ukemi for the Dan Gradings so could students please let the office know if they are available.

As it is the 25th year since we opened our headquarters we will be celebrating, on that weekend. We are adding cakes to our tea breaks. The Fox & Goose has been booked for the Saturday evening, so menus will be available at Headquarters on the Saturday morning. They have asked that orders be placed at lunchtime if you wish to book a meal.
