Here is the September 2019 Aikido update for the Ki Federation.
We congratulate the following members who were awarded their grading on their group courses…
- 4th Dan: O. Atkinson and C. Dolling.
- 5th Dan: G. Chappell, D.Clements, J. Palmer and R. Vickery.
On the Dan Grading of the Autumn Seminar (5th October), Rose Garrard will be taking her 2nd Dan Grading. Rose is 94 years old. We hope plenty of our members will come to support her. We do require ukes for the Gradings, so please let the office know if you can attend.
John Whipps, the teacher from the Gloucester club, has now moved to Brazil. He has also found a venue for a club over there. So soon we should have our first club in South America. We send him our very best wishes for his new life.
A few of our members have either an ongoing illness or an injury. So Sensei and Sensei Margaret would like to wish you all a good recovery.
Our Macmillan coffee morning was quiet this year. Probably due to it being a lovely sunny day. So there will be a selection of small plants and crafts for sale on the 5th Dan Group course this coming Saturday. All proceeds will go to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
Plymouth club will be having two area courses next year. These are on Sunday, 1st March, and Saturday, 22nd August.
The Canadian branch will be having two courses next year. The Toronto course is on the 9th and 10th May. The Vancouver course is on the 16th, 17th and 18th of May.
We look forward to seeing all our members who will be attending the Autumn Seminar.
