Here is the September 2022 aikido update for the Ki Federation.
Many of us are feeling touched by the sad news of our Queen passing away in Balmoral. A Great lady has gone, and we now have a King.
I am sure the members who attended the Summer Seminar noticed how smart the Headquarters courtyard was looking. This was entirely due to members Steve Walker and Steve Binks. They travelled from Salisbury, over two weekends, to completely paint the courtyard. This was after our two year, covid enforced break. We are very grateful for their thoughtfulness and support for the Ki Federation..
We have 9 members taking their Dan Gradings on our Autumn Seminar on the 29th & 30th October. So we will require many Dan grades to make ukemi. Please let the office know if you will be available to attend.
Would teachers please confirm the name of the members they have put forward for their Dan Grading. Also, would they please send the Dan Grade application form and balance of payment as soon as possible.
Due to the numbers being graded on the 29th the grading for 1st Dan will start at 9am and the afternoon course will be 2.30 to 4.30pm. You will appreciate that this is an approximate time.
Please note that weapons courses need to be booked in advance. Up and coming weapon courses are Tanto on the 2nd of October and Sword on the 12th of November.
We will be holding another Macmillan Coffee Morning in Aid of Cancer support in Headquarters on the 24th September from 10.3am to 12.30pm. This is for anyone who is in the area or wishes to donate.
