Here is the July 2024 Aikido update for the Ki Federation.
Ben Docherty hosted a crowded and successful first course at his dojo in Edinburgh. Congratulations to those members who passed their Kyu Grading on the course.
As many of you know, Dimitri Popolov is one of our Teachers in Canada. He has written an article about one of his new members who had a history of brain injury. He also sent an accompanying, and unusual, photograph by way of explanation. Here is a link to that article.
Due to injury or illness, we have some unfilled slots for Dan Gradings on the Summer Seminar. These are for 1st, 2nd or 3rd Dan Gradings. These slots have now become available ro other members. Applications can be sent to the office.
We are all looking forward to Sensei Williams taking a Dan Grade class on the first Thursday of the Summer Seminar. It will be from 2 to 3pm, followed by tea in the lounge. Current members, who are not able to attend the Seminar, can also attend the morning session along with Sensei’s class. A valid membership card must be shown. Here is a link to the summer Seminar details.
We think it would be interesting for our National Members to know more about our International Representatives. For example, why and how they started, and a brief explanation of their journey in Ki Aikido. If any International Representative wishes to do so, they can send an article in an email to Sensei Margaret. We will then add it to this website.
